Polymerized Castor Oils (Up one level)
Pale 1000
This non-drying castor polymer, commonly known as blown oil, has a viscosity of about 120 stokes as the result of oxidative and crosslink polymerization at the double bonds and hydroxyl groups. It has an improved ability to wet and disperse pigments while imparting solvent and abrasion resistance to lacquer systems. Pale 1000 (Oxidized Castor Oil) can be used to plasticize a variety of resins in adhesive and sealant systems, inks and hot melts.
