DEM (Diethyl Maleate) for Polyaspartic Coatings
DEM (Diethyl Maleate) is a key component in the manufacture of polyaspartic coatings, which provide long-lasting protection to floor surfaces like metal or concrete. Polyaspartic coatings are noted for flexibility, excellent chemical resistance, high gloss, and water resistance. These coatings are extremely durable making them ideal for concrete in high-traffic commercial areas. Often selected for their fast-drying cure advantages, they allow for a quicker return to service than competing epoxy technologies.
We are the largest supplier of DEM in Europe, with the flexibility and efficiency of our plant ensuring a reliable supply for our customers. In addition, DEM is typically is partially made from renewable resources, helping customers meet their sustainability targets.
Applications
Polyaspartic Floor Coating
Commercial, Industrial, and Garage Flooring
Polyaspartic coatings are described as 100% solid, fast curing, UV resistant coating systems repel moisture and have a high tolerance to heat. They have low viscosity and low VOC levels, and their excellent durability makes them ideal for concrete floors in high-traffic commercial areas, as well as for industrial and garage flooring.
Requiring only one layer when applying, polyaspartic coatings demand less resource consumption, and, with their fast-drying cure advantages, they allow a quicker return to service than epoxy and urethane technologies. They offer a high-gloss crystal clear finish that resists stains and is easy to clean. Surfaces are covered by spraying or painting to prevent corrosion and erosion. These coatings are very hard and tough, properties that contribute to protecting surfaces.
Polyaspertic Coating for Automotive Refinish
Polyaspartic coatings used in automotive refinish, protect the paint underneath from corrosion and do not fade or peel with sun exposure. These coatings offer a fast cure time, even at ambient temperatures.
Features
- Temperature resistant: performs at -34°C to 60°C
- Fast curing: 3-5 times faster than epoxy
- UV-resistant: non-yellowing
- Durable: abrasion, scratch, chemical resistance
- Customizable: clear finish for optimal aesthetics
- Low or no VOC's
