dispersants

In the lubrication of moving parts, there are often byproducts created through physical wear or high-temperature oxidation. The buildup of these particulates (carbonaceous and metallic) is a fundamental way the lubricant loses its uniformity and effectiveness. Additionally, water in the atmosphere can be absorbed by the lubricating oil and create undesirable foaming or instigate corrosion. The presence of Texalene dispersants impact both phenomena to lower the negative impacts on the lubricant to maintain friction-reducing properties. In doing so, the life of the lubricating fluid is extended.

to keep you moving forward

Improve fuel efficiency and reduce friction with Texalene™ 74 series lubricity improvers.  Our 74 series helps extend maintenance intervals and engine life which reduces the environmental impact of servicing combustion engines. Texalene 74 series provides detergency activity, enabling the prevention of deposit formation.

Texalene 74 Series* Lubricity Improver

  • organic, ashless chemistry
  • enhanced high frequency reciprocating rig (HFRR) performance at lower dosages
  • modifies friction; controls coefficient of friction (CoF)
  • neutral additive with excellent compatibility
  • product consistency and viscosity are ideal for wide variety of formulations

optimize your lubricity improver with
multifunctional intermediates

Texalene multifunctional intermediates allow customers to design neutral fuel additives for unique attributes in a range of hydrocarbon fuels. Optimizing formulations with efficient and reliable intermediates for lubricity improvers has become critical, with fuel market trends increasing bio-based content and less naturally-occurring lubricity. Our range of Texalene intermediates enable formulators to innovate by restoring lubricity and inhibiting corrosion in fuel systems.

Texalene intermediates are supplied in formulations, allowing for easier handling. They act as water scavengers, helping to extend shelf life.

optimize your formulation

Film permeability and drug release rate is highest with low molecular weight citrates used at high concentrations. Higher molecular weight citrates used at low concentrations provide lower permeability and slow drug release. Both hydrophilic an lipophilic esters are available, allowing the formulator to control the film and drug release characteristics of a variety of polymer coatings to suit the needs of finished product.
