Polycin™ GR Polyol Series
The Polycin™ GR Series are 100% solids, castor oil based polyols designed for use as reactive resins in polyurethane systems. For the first time, these products will produce a range of mechanical properties never obtained from glyceryl ricinoleate chemistry. Shore hardness in the high to low A range can be attained with MDI cures. Using castor oil as its sole base, the GR Series are fully natural products from a renewable resource.
Applications
Binder Additive for Flexible Substrates
The Polycin GR Polyol Series are good binder modifiers for rubberized surfaces to improve durability and moisture resistance. Rubberized surfaces (also called “wet pour rubber” or “bonded rubber stone”) are popular for good reason. They are durable, low-maintenance, long-lasting, comfortable to walk on (almost a spongy-like surface), and safe.
Sustainable Alternative to Polyether Polyol
They are 100% sustainable and do not impact the food chain. They are excellent alternatives to other natural polyols and petroleum-based polyols. Their low viscosity allows for easy formulation.
Sealant
Polycin GR Polyol Series exhibit good flexibility and durability. Their low moisture vapor transmission rates and hydrophobicity make them ideal candidates for industrial sealants.
Features
- Improves flexibility
- Improves mechanical properties
