Polycin™ Polyol Series
The Polycin™ Polyol (D T & M) Series are 100% solids castor oil based polyol derivatives designed for use as polyols or reactive diluents in two component (2K) polyurethane coating systems. These products (Diols, Triols, and Multi higher functionalities) will allow for the formulation of high performance non-yellowing coatings, VOC reduction, and improved pigment wetting.
Applications
Concrete Coatings & Sealants
Chemical resistance is a critical requirement for concrete, floor coatings, and sealants. Our polyols have excellent resistance to organic and inorganic acids, caustic, bleach, gasoline, and diesel fuel. Castor oil polyol-based polyurethanes exhibit good thermal shock resistance and UV exposure stability. They are useful for demanding concrete and flooring applications. Many are FDA-approved for incident food contact.
Industrial Maintenance Coatings
Polycin Polyol-based polyurethane coatings have glass transition temperatures from <-50 ͦ C to about 100 ͦ C. They exhibit good chemical resistance to cold and hot water, organic and inorganic acids, caustic, diesel fuel, gasoline, and other commonly encountered chemicals. In addition, castor oil polyol-based polyurethanes exhibit UV exposure stability.
Transportation Coatings
When Polycin Polyols are used as reactive diluents in acrylic and polyester transportation coatings they significantly improve abrasion resistance, lower VOC’s, improve depth of image, and impart UV stability. The Polycin Polyol Series can be used for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) & Refinish.

Polycin D-140 Polyol is a 100% solids castor oil based derivative designed for use as a polyol or reactive diluent in polyurethane systems. With its low viscosity and secondary hydroxyl groups, it will allow for the formulation of higher system solids with improved VOC reduction and longer pot life. It will also impart improved properties such as good elongation, chemical resistance, weatherability, flow and application properties.
Polycin D-265 Polyol is a castor oil based diol designed for use as a polyol or reactive diluent in polyurethane coating systems. This solution will impart flexibility and allow for VOC reduction while imparting the beneficial properties of castor oil derivatives such as improved flow and leveling.
Polycin D-290 Polyol is a 100% solids castor oil based diol designed for use as a polyol or reactive diluent in polyurethane coating systems. With its very low viscosity, this polyol will allow for the formulation of higher system solids with improved VOC reduction.
Polycin T-400 Polyol is a 100% solids castor oil based triol designed to impart higher hardness and strength to polyurethane systems. It is particularly suitable for concrete coatings.
Polycin M-280 Polyol is a 100% solids castor oil based derivative having a high level of reactivity that will impart hardness and strength into polyurethane systems. When used as a reactive diluent, it will deliver the beneficial properties of castor oil derivatives, such as improved flow and leveling.
Polycin M-365 Polyol is a 100% solids castor oil based polyol for formulating polyurethane systems with high hardness and strength.
