ZeMac E60 Copolymer is an alternating amorphous copolymer of ethylene and maleic anhydride with Mw of ~30,000. It is available in powder form. The product is 100% water-soluble and can be reacted with alkalis, alcohols, and amines to form corresponding salts, esters, and amides. Due to high maleic anhydride content (~80%), it is typically used as a coupling and curing agent, binder, and dispersant.
ZeMac E60 Copolymer optimizes glass fiber sizing chemistries for resins and composites by enhancing mechanical properties and increasing resistance to degradation. ZeMac E60 Copolymer is used as a coating additive for minerals & organic fillers are used in polymers.
ZeMac Copolymers act as emulsion stabilizers and control mean particle size (MPS) & particle size distribution (PSD).
